Refrigerated Tortellini with Marinara
Refrigerated tortellini cooks in under five minutes and turns jarred sauce into an actual dinner with almost no work.

How to make it
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook tortellini per package directions, usually 3 to 5 minutes.
While tortellini cooks, warm marinara in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
Drain tortellini and plate with sauce spooned over the top.
Finish with grated parmesan.
Giovanni Rana cheese tortellini is the clear best pick at most grocery stores, available at Walmart, Target, and Costco. Buitoni is a solid backup. For sauce, Rao's Homemade Marinara is worth the extra dollar or two and consistently beats everything else in taste tests. Mezzetta is another strong option at a lower price point.
Stir a handful of baby spinach into the warm sauce off the heat and it wilts in about 30 seconds. Add a can of drained white beans to the sauce for extra protein. For a slightly richer version, stir a tablespoon of butter into the drained pasta before adding sauce.
