Overnight Oats Jars

Spend 5 minutes on Sunday and breakfast is handled all week — no cooking required any morning.

Overnight Oats Jars
Make ahead: Make 4 jars on Sunday. Keeps 5 days in the fridge. Add toppings fresh each morning so oats stay firm on top.

How to make it

  1. Add oats, milk, chia seeds, and maple syrup to four mason jars.

  2. Stir each jar, seal, and refrigerate overnight or up to 5 days.

  3. In the morning, top with berries and eat cold or microwave 60 seconds.

Use standard old-fashioned rolled oats, not quick oats, or the texture goes mushy. Costco sells a large canister of Quaker rolled oats that covers months of prep. Any milk works, including oat milk or almond milk. Trader Joe's frozen mixed berries thaw perfectly overnight right in the jar, so you can skip buying fresh.

Swap berries for sliced banana and peanut butter for a kid-friendly combo that feels more like dessert. Stir in a scoop of vanilla protein powder per batch to hit 20-plus grams of protein per jar. For a creamier result, use half milk and half plain Greek yogurt.
