Naan Flatbread Pizza

Personal flatbread pizzas take about 5 minutes to assemble and kids can top their own, which eliminates the dinner-table argument about toppings.

Make ahead: Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 4 hours before baking.

How to make it

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Place naan on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.

  3. Spread marinara on each naan and top with mozzarella.

  4. Add any toppings, then bake 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.

Stonefire Original Naan is the standard pick and found at most grocery stores. Trader Joe's garlic naan adds a little more flavor without any extra work. Rao's Homemade marinara is worth keeping in the pantry as a shortcut sauce that tastes noticeably better than average, and a half-cup goes a long way. A bag of shredded mozzarella is all you need for cheese.

For toppings, thin-sliced pepperoni, jarred roasted peppers, or a handful of pre-cooked Italian sausage crumbles all work well and won't make the crust soggy. Swap the marinara for store-bought pesto for a green version kids often prefer.
