Fruit and Cheese Plate
Protein from the cheese and natural sugar from the fruit hit the two main snack needs at once, with zero cooking and one cutting board.

How to make it
Wash and dry the fruit; halve grapes and slice larger fruit into bite-size pieces.
Cut cheese into small cubes or thin slices.
Arrange fruit, cheese, and crackers on a plate or cutting board and serve.
Pre-washed grapes, clementines, and strawberries from any grocery store cut prep almost to nothing. Trader Joe's mini Babybel wheels and Cabot sharp cheddar snack bars are both good ready-to-grab cheese options that kids can handle themselves; Costco sell a Kirkland pre-sliced fruit tray that works perfectly when you need even less work.
Swap the crackers for rice cakes if gluten is a concern; use cubed mozzarella or string cheese pulled apart in strips for variety; add a small ramekin of honey for dipping if kids need a little extra incentive.
