Sky Zone Trampoline Park

Sky Zone is a wall-to-wall trampoline park with a foam pit, SkySlam basketball dunking lane, Warrior Course (a ninja-style obstacle circuit), and Ultimate Dodgeball court. Unlike a standard playground, it genuinely exhausts kids in the best possible way — the Warrior Course alone will have a 5-year-old fully locked in for 20 minutes straight. The Bay Area has locations in Fremont (39177 Farwell Dr) and San Jose (Cambrian area), with Altitude Trampoline Park filling the Milpitas/Great Mall gap if neither Sky Zone location is convenient.

How to Do It

Buy tickets online before you go — sessions sell out on weekend mornings, and buying online lets you complete the liability waiver in advance so you're not standing in line at a kiosk when you arrive. Show up 15 minutes before your session starts; Sky Zone recommends 30 minutes, but 15 is realistic if the waiver is already done. Fremont is off the 880 — take the Mowry Ave exit and head east; the park is in an industrial lot on Farwell Drive with ample parking directly in front. San Jose Cambrian is accessible from 85 via Camden Ave. Plan for 90 minutes of jump time, which is the standard session block. The Toddler Zone at Fremont is a padded, enclosed area reserved for kids 6 and under with one accompanying adult — it runs on a separate ticket and keeps small kids out of the main floor chaos. The Little Leapers program (both Fremont and San Jose) offers discounted weekday morning sessions Monday through Friday from open until noon, structured for kids 6 and under with one free adult jumper per paid child.

Tips & Tricks

Sky Zone socks are mandatory and location-specific — only Sky Zone brand grip socks are allowed, not socks from other trampoline parks. They cost about $4 at the desk and are reusable on future visits, so stash them in the diaper bag after you leave. Check Groupon before booking; Sky Zone Bay Area locations regularly run 25–35% off standard admission, and the savings on a family of four add up fast. Weekend afternoons are the most crowded session — the park fills with birthday parties and the dodgeball courts get rowdy. Weekday mornings, especially Thursday and Friday when the park opens at 10am, are the sweet spot: shorter lines, calmer energy, and staff that has time to actually help a hesitant 4-year-old into the foam pit. The arcade and snack area near the entrance will absolutely be noticed by your kids on the way out — decide your policy before you walk through the door so there's no negotiation while still in sweaty socks.

Planning

Admission for a 60-minute jump pass runs roughly $20–25 per person depending on day and location; 90-minute passes are a few dollars more. Sky Socks are $3.99 and required. Little Leapers weekday morning sessions are discounted, typically $12–15 per child with one free adult. Fremont hours: Monday–Tuesday 4–9pm, Wednesday 12–9pm, Thursday–Friday 10am–10pm, Saturday 8am–10pm, Sunday 8am–9pm (hours vary seasonally — confirm online before heading out). No reservations required but strongly recommended on weekends; book at skyzone.com/fremont or skyzone.com/san-jose. Bring: grip socks from a previous visit if you have them, water bottles (the park sells drinks but they're pricey), and a change of shirt for younger kids who tend to overheat. Best ages for the main floor are 5 and up; the Toddler Zone and Little Leapers sessions make it work for kids 3–5. Rainy day and school holiday visits should be booked earlier in the week — Saturday afternoon sessions in December fill by Wednesday.
