Overview
Scandia Family Fun Center in Fairfield is a full-format family amusement center with two 18-hole miniature golf courses, go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, arcade games, a Gel Blaster arena, a VR experience, batting cages, and a large multi-level indoor Kids Clubhouse. It's not a destination drive from San Francisco, but if you're in the North Bay corridor or passing through on a Napa/Tahoe run, it's a reliable stop for families with a wide age spread. Fairfield is reliably sunny inland when the Bay is fogged in — this is a genuinely useful card when the coast is socked in.

How to Do It
Scandia is at 4300 Central Place, Fairfield, CA 94534 — off Interstate 80 at the Fairfield exit. From San Francisco it's about 45 minutes; from the East Bay about 35. Parking is free and the lot is large; it rarely fills even on weekends. The facility is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
There is no gate admission — you pay per attraction or buy a Fun Card loaded with points. The 3-Hour Fun Card at $47 per person gets unlimited access to all attractions except batting cages and the VR arena, and it's the right move if your kids want to bounce between activities. For a focused mini-golf outing, buy individual rounds: $16.50 for adults, $14.50 for juniors (ages 4–11), and toddlers 3 and under are free with a paid adult. Two courses means you can do a full 36 holes if kids want the extended session. The Clubhouse indoor play structure is $8 admission and is the best option for kids 3–6 who aren't ready for the full course roster.

Tips & Tricks
Height requirements matter here and will determine which attractions your kid can actually access. Go-karts require 60 inches to drive solo — most kids under age 12 won't hit that. Kids 40–59 inches can ride in a double car with an adult ($5 extra for the passenger). Bumper boats require 44 inches to operate; kids 40–44 inches can ride as passengers. Plan your activity order around this before kids get disappointed in line.
Bumper boats will get you soaked. Not splashed — soaked. Bring a change of clothes or plan bumper boats as the last activity before leaving. Every parent who didn't know this regrets it.
Toddler Tuesdays drop the Kids Clubhouse admission to $4 for kids ages 2–6, every Tuesday. If your schedule allows a weekday, Tuesday is the move for the under-6 crowd — smaller crowds on the courses too.
The 3-Hour Fun Card excludes batting cages and the Omni VR arena. If your kids are into the VR setup, buy it a la carte: $15 for the first game, $10 for each additional. The VR treadmill setup is best for ages 8 and up who can follow the movement mechanics.
Planning
No gate admission; pay per attraction or load a Fun Card. Mini golf runs $14.50 to $16.50 per round depending on age. The 3-Hour Fun Card is $47 per person (unlimited most attractions). The Kids Clubhouse is $8 per child. Go-kart rides are $11.50 for 5 minutes. Bumper boats are $9. Socks are required for the Kids Clubhouse — bring your own or buy them there.
Best months are year-round since the Fairfield climate is mild and most attractions are outdoors with covered walkways. Summer afternoons get hot at this inland location — morning visits are more comfortable in July and August, or go after 4 p.m. when the heat breaks. Avoid holidays and summer Saturday afternoons if you're crowd-averse. The arcade and indoor Clubhouse are air-conditioned. Best age range is 4–10; under 4 is manageable with the Clubhouse and mini golf as the anchors, but most of the headline attractions require height and coordination.
